State of Democracy

The following map shows the Democracy Index value for each country. It's an index compiled by "The Economist", ranging from 0 (non democratic) to 10 (very democratic). It is based on indicators measuring pluralism, civil liberties and political culture.

Press freedom

The following map shows the Press Freedom Index for each country. The index values range from 0 (good situation) to 100 (bad situation). It's an index complied by the journalists association RSF, taking into accountaspects like pluralism, independence, abuses or auto-censorship.
